Starting from the outside of the second row, he took the lead from pole-sitter Conor Daly's #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / The College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. Mazda on the opening lap and led all the way to the checkered. DALY WINS POLE, VAUTIER ON FRONT ROW FOR ROUND 3 OF THE STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP VISITFLORIDA CUP AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 27, 2010) – Call it a 'rotary rematch.' The front row for the start of this afternoon's Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Round 3 of the VISITFLORIDA Cup, is the same as yesterday – American Conor Daly on the pole in the #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / The College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. Mazda with a lap of 1:15.840 (103.006 mph) and Frenchman Tristan Vautier alongside in the #38 Andersen Racing / Moulin TP / Cecibon / Circuit du Laquais Mazda with a lap of 1:16.096 (102.660 mph). After serving a stop-and-go penalty for jumping the start, Daly raced his way back up through the field to finish 3rd while Vautier finished 6th.

BRAZILIAN CAIO LARA DE-RAILS CONOR DALY'S HISTORIC WINNING STREAK WITH HIS FIRST-EVER STAR MAZDA VICTORY IN RACE 1 / ROUND 6 AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 26, 2010) – The Gods of Racing have had their laugh. The more you talk about a record waiting to be broken, somehow the less likely it becomes. Starting from the pole for the fourth time this season, Conor Daly – starting from the pole for the fourth time this season -- was reasonably expecting to break the all-time Star Mazda Championship win record of four in a row. Until the green light signaling the traditional Star Mazda standing start, that is. What the officials saw on TV was both Daly and Vautier, starting side-by-side on the front row, accelerating before the green… which resulted in a drive-through penalty for both drivers that dropped them to the back of the field.

CONOR DALY SCORES HIS FOURTH POLE OF THE SEASON IN QUALIFYING FOR THIS AFTERNOON'S RACE 1 / ROUND 6 OF THE 2010 STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 26, 2010) – By a margin of more than half a second, Conor Daly, the current championship leader and winner of the last four races in a row, has put his #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / The College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. Mazda on the pole for this afternoon's Race #1/Round 6 of the 2010 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. His lap of 1:15.317 (103.722 mph) around the 14-turn, 2.25-mile 'Thunderbolt' track at New Jersey Motorsports Park, while just a tick slower than his best time in yesterday's practice, was sufficient to give Daly, the son of racing legend and noted motorsports broadcaster Derek Daly, his fourth pole of the season.

PRE-RACE PRACTICE FOR ROUNDS 6 & 7 OF THE 2010 STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK WRAP UP WITH CONOR DALY IN THE LEAD

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 25, 2010) – On a day both cooler, if only a bit, and relatively free of kinetic drama, it was the familiar green-and-white #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / The College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. Mazda of Conor Daly leading the time sheets in both morning and afternoon sessions. The quick times came in the morning session, with Daly turning a 1:15.204 (103.877 mph), an improvement of 7/10ths on his quick time from Thursday, but still shy of the official lap record of 1:14.744 set in qualifying for Race #2 last year by Englishman Richard Kent, who won from the pole. The track got slower in the afternoon, with Daly slipping to a 1:15.610 (103.320 mph); he was, however, the only car in the 15s in the afternoon, while the top-4 all came in under the 1:16 mark in the morning.

CHAMPIONSHIP LEADER CONOR DALY TOPS THE TIME SHEET IN THE FIRST DAY OF TESTING FOR STAR MAZDA ROUNDS 6 & 7 AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 24, 2010) – Conor Daly continued his front-of-the-pack ways today, setting the quickest time in the second of two promoter test sessions leading up to Rounds 6 & 7 of the 2010 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear. His time of 1:15.990 (102.803 mph) in the #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / The College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. Mazda was substantially slower than the official lap record of 1:14.744 set in qualifying for Race #2 last year by Englishman Richard Kent, who won from the pole. Daly, who has won four races in a row so far this season, and won Race #1 here last year, doesn't expect to break that particular record.
