TRISTAN VAUTIER WINS SEBRING SEASON-OPENER OF 2010 STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP PRESENTED BY GOODYEAR

Sebring International Raceway / March 19, 2010 – Tristan Vautier of Grenoble, France, a rookie to U.S. racing but boasting an extensive European open-wheel resume, claimed victory in Round One of the 13-race 2010 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear driving his #38 Andersen Racing / Moulin TP / Cecibon / Circuit du Laquais Mazda. Vautier also became the first winner of the VISIT FLORIDA Trophy, the newly-announced championship-within-a championship sponsored by the state's official tourism company.

CONOR DALY FASTEST IN FINAL STAR MAZDA SEBRING TEST SESSION

Sebring International Raceway / Wednesday, March 17 – As he did at the pre-season Star Mazda Championship Series Test at Sebring in January, it was Conor Daly, driving the #22 Juncos Racing / INDECK / College Network / Merchant Services Ltd. / Tom Lange Co. Mazda who set the fast time… in the final of four practice sessions leading up to qualifying tomorrow morning. Daly, who finished 3rd in the 2009 championship and is now entering his second year of Star Mazda Championship competition with a new team, turned a lap of 1:57.600 (113.265) – well under the 1:59.986 lap record set by 2007 Series Champion Dane Cameron. And he was among a stellar, and speedy, group of 14 cars all under the previous lap record.
