FASTEST FOOT FORWARD -- RICHARD KENT WINS FROM THE POLE IN STAR MAZDA CHAMPIONSHIP RACE 2 AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 14, 2009) – Completing a return to form that
has seen stops and starts to his Star Mazda Championship season, Englishman Richard Kent won Race 2 of the double-header Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear Mazda Formula X weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Kent led every lap from the pole after smashing the existing Star Mazda Championship lap record at New Jersey Motorsports Park by more than 4/10ths of a second in the #33 Andersen Racing / Traka / Lafarge N.A. / Allied Interior Products Mazda.

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 12, 2009) – His bright green #22 Andersen Racing / College Network / Indeck / Cytomax Mazda leading the way from start (more or less) to finish, Conor Daly, son of racing legend Derek Daly, began growing his own legend with a win from the pole in Race 1 of a Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear double-header weekend at the Mazda Formula X Event at New Jersey Motorsports Park. It was his first victory of the season and vaulted him to 4th from 7th in the championship points.

THE QUIET KID – MICHAEL FURFARI, AGAIN, STUNS THE STAR MAZDA FIELD WITH THE FASTEST TIME IN THURSDAY'S PROMOTER TEST SESSION AT NEW JERSEY MOTORSPORTS PARK

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 11, 2009) -- The last time we heard from Michael Furfari, the 16-year old driver of the #13 Juncos Racing / Furfari Paving Mazda, he had amazed one and all by turning the fastest lap during two days of Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear testing at the Milwaukee Mile oval… his first time ever on an oval. A 'true rookie' in a field full of 'technical rookies,' Furfari is the shortest (5-ft. 5-in.), lightest (120 lbs.) and youngest (turned 16 just before the season opener at Sebring) in the Star Mazda Championship.

STAR MAZDA TURNS UP THE CHAMPIONSHIP HEAT WITH A DOUBLE-HEADER

New Jersey Motorsports Park (June 8, 2009) -- The tight battle for the 2009 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear heats up this weekend with a double-header during the Mazda Formula X event at New Jersey Motorsports Park. Leading the pack, with two wins in the first three races and a total of 119 points is English racer Adam Christodoulou. The 2008 U.K. Formula Renault champion won from the season-opener at Sebring and scored from the pole in Round 3 at Miller Motorsports Park; he has topped the time sheets in most pre-race testing sessions, including the most recent series test on the Iowa Speedway Oval. He drives the #11 JDC Motorsports / Molecule Mazda.
