Star Mazda Championship releases broadcast schedule for 2005 championship

March 14, 2005. Sebring, FL. Star Mazda Series President Gary Rodrigues announced today the initial Speed Channel broadcast dates for the twelve rounds of 2005 Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear and revealed a package of one hour broadcasts that will provide maximum exposure to series drivers.

“I’m thrilled to be able to release this schedule today that shows the series’ commitment to provide the best value for racing dollar spent to our teams and drivers,” Rodrigues said. “Working with Speed Channel, we have expanded our race coverage from half-hour shows to hour-long shows for each event, allowing for more in depth coverage of the races as well as the teams, drivers and crews that make the events happen. We feel that the exposure provided will further our goal of developing the next generation of racing stars”

All twelve rounds of the championship will be featured on Speed Channel on a tape delay basis, starting with the opening round at Sebring on Sunday, April 24, at 11:00 AM eastern standard time. All events have multiple air times, with most having initial air times on Sunday afternoons.
