REM treatment for gearbox items to be permitted for 2005 pro series.

December 2, 2004. Pacoima, CA. The Star Mazda Series announced today the REM treatment of all gearbox parts will be permitted for the upcoming 2005 Star Mazda Series North American Championship presented by Goodyear. In conjunction with this announcement the series has announced a special offer in conjunction with REM Chemicals, allowing each car entered in the series to receive free REM treatment on 10 gearsets, provided that they carry REM decals on each side of the car throughout the season.

“The series continues to find ways to improve the durability of the Pro Formula Mazda and this treatment should enhance the life of the gearbox,” commented Series President Gary Rodrigues. “We have worked with REM Chemicals to arrange this free offer to continue our mission of cost-effective motorsports.”

The limited time offer, which expires on April 30, 2005, allows teams to send in one complete set of gear ratios per car (ten gearsets in total) to receive the treatment. Teams wishing to participate in the offer will be required to send in all their gearsets to be treated at one time to allow for a single batch process. Participating teams will be required to pay for the shipping costs incurred in getting the gearsets to and from REM Chemicals.

The turnaround time for the treatment is normally three days and interested teams are encouraged to coordinate their schedules and prepare to ship their gearboxes in the near future. REM Chemicals is located at 325 West Queen Street, Southington, CT 06489. Questions regarding the REM process and shipping details should be directed to Michael Salerno of REM Chemicals.
