To All Star FM Racers:

Enclosed are the 2002 Star Mazda Series North American Championship TV play dates for the new Speed Channel (formerly Speedvision) and also the Supplementary Regulations. Note that we have decided to allow the MK V gears starting with the Sears Point event. We hope SCCA will allow them soon in Club racing.

The Sebring entry, schedule, and IMSA forms are attached for your convenience. Get them off right away so you can have a smooth start to the season down in Florida.

We have arranged for a very special event on Thursday morning for Formula Mazda drivers and team owners while we are at Sebring. Mr. Scott Atherton and Mr. Michael Clark have consented to spend some time with us over a continental breakfast at the Chateau Elan Hotel and Spa. Scott Atherton is the president and chief operating officer of Panoz Motor Sports Group and Mike Clark is the sales and marketing expert for the American Le Mans Series. We have asked them to give us the benefit of their experience and expertise on the subject of “Sponsor Search 101 – What needs to be in a good presentation.” They know what sponsors are looking for, they know what works. Unless you actually have a bigger budget than you know how to spend, you should be at this meeting.

Mark your calendar for 9:00 a.m. Thursday, March 14^th. The location is The Salon at the Chateau Elan. This should be very convenient since the hotel is at the track. The meeting will run from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. We are not scheduled to be on track until 1:05 p.m. that day.

We are extremely pleased to have these two experts willing to offer our racers such important guidance. We hope everyone will take advantage of the opportunity.
